Kate Chorlton

I am a photographer based in the East Midlands in the uk. I am currently in my second year studying Level 3 BTEC Art and Design which allows me to access studio space, which is where I like to spend a lot of my time. I focus on portraiture as I like the way that naturally two shots won't be the same. Also, I like the way that I can show people how I see them through the use of my photography. My favourite genre of photography is editorial fashion as I like the way that I can capture people and their fashion choices in exciting and boundary pushing ways.

When I am not shooting, I like to help out in the community whether it be helping at charity events bringing art and design to the younger generation, or in my part time job working behind the bar. I believe that art and design should be accessible to all so I help out regularly at local charities scheme grub club and warm Wednesday welcome, where art and craft activities and hot meals are provided to young families struggling with the cost of living crisis.
